Dark green and glossy, plump jalapenos which have a distinctly fresh, grassy and slightly spirity aromas. The crunch and spice on the palate hits you with immediate impact which is very clean, crisp and uplifting. The heat persists but is at an enjoyable level and has an identifiable jalapeno character with intriguing notes of green tea on the finish. Fresh and almost cucumbery in texture and mouthwatering freshness we feel that these peppers would be very versatile components of Asian salads and perhaps an interesting match for a strong cheddar? Complex and rather fascinating.


Plump, juicy, glossy Jalapenos with great textural integrity. They are certainly hot, so much so that it rather overwhelms the subtle ferment for some of us. We did enjoy the gently sour ferment notes, and admired the physical integrity of the Jalapeno, but found the texture, while pleasantly juicy and crunchy, also a little tough. We'd have liked more sense of ferment relative to heat for a higher award, though realise personal perceptions of heat may differ.


The Jalapeno has a glossy sheen. The fermenting liquor has a strong citric aroma. The chilis have a crunch to them and are sweet. We find that the heat is on the tongue and the citrus flavour comes through well.


A wonderful dark looking plump pickled jalapeno. It has an initial pickled character but the heat is immediate and builds. For those that can take this level of heat it is balanced and the fermented fruit comes through too.

they go great with charcuterie deli & cheese sharing platters, sushi, salads, fried chicken, buddha bowls, as an ingredient cook with. Asian and American food.
